In The Kid, Frizzell draws on one of the most loved aspects of New Zealand Rugby - the haka. Frizzell’s background in advertising is evident in this work, having worked as an animator, commercial artist and illustrator. The figures are wearing RWC 2011 jersey colours and together The Kid celebrates Rugby as a part of the kiwi childhood and kiwi attitude of giving things a go.
